First Decade- 1954-1963
KINDERGARTEN SCHOOL FOUNDED BY AIWC IN 1954
Mrs. Duart : First Headmistress for Kindergarten School

It all began with two K2 quarters with a Gulmohur tree in front as the basic structure. This was AIWC’s (All India Women’s Conference-Golmuri Branch) pioneer educational project. The school had classes L. Kg – Std. II. Mrs N. C. Daruwalla , Mrs. Dumle, Mrs. Tayabji and other members of the managing committee were the driving force. The headmistress Mrs. Duart was at the helm of affairs. It was the only English medium school in Telco area. Due to lack of Space it was a Kindergarten School which acted as a stepping stone for the children to move on to bigger schools.

The building grew in size from a two room structure to the first wing consisting of six rooms.

Third Decade- 1974-1983
1974
- The first batch of ten students appeared for the Bihar Matriculation Examination. Mr. Pimplikar was in charge of the school
- From this point the extension of the building took a great leap forward with all help extended by TELCO, with an enthusiastic drive by the President Mrs. Prabha Kale and Secretary Mrs. Meena Joshi.

1975
Ms. Dhanalakshmi : Headmistress (1975 – 1978)

- The school found as its Headmistress Ms. Dhanlakshmi who was an excellent administrator and ruled with an iron hand.
|
|

|
- The school motto came into being with Mrs. Masilamani being the brain behind the idea.
|
|

|
- During this time the AIWC ladies saw to the streamlining of the school system- Sports Day began, the three Houses were formed, a well stocked library was added.

1976
Mr. B. R. Das : First Principal (1976 – 1979)

|
- The late Mr. B.R. Das was the author of the school anthem.
- The greatest milestone during his tenure was getting affiliation of the ICSE board within eight months. This was greatly possible because Mr. B. R. Das being a member of the Executive Committee of the Council was well acquainted with the necessary steps to be taken. Immediate action was taken for the preparation of the first batch of students for the ICSE examination.
- The Physics and Chemistry laboratories were inaugurated.

1978
- First batch of students appeared for ICSE examinations.

1979
- Silver Jubilee of the school was celebrated with a three day long function.

- The biology laboratory was inaugurated by Mr. Sarosh Ghandy.
- K.G. to standard III was shifted to erstwhile Shishu Vidyalaya- we had our primary section.
(SHISHU VIDYALAYA was founded in 1968 by Mrs. …….. PAUL and had 6 students)

Mr. Sunandan Roy :Principal (April 1980 – March 1983)
Mrs. N. Sood : Headmistress - Primary section (1980 - 1989)
Mrs. M Datar : Headmistress (1980 – 1987)
The school had a dynamic and awe inspiring personality as the Principal- Wing Commander Sunandan Roy.

- Under his guidance oratory activities received great encouragement.
- The fervor for general knowledge was aroused.
- The school magazine was started.
- It was probably the only time when the school football team was trained by the Principal himself.
