Gulmohur High School was founded by a group of dedicated ladies of AIWC in 1954. Initially it started as a Nursery School. In 1976, the school was affiliated to the council of Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi. Today it is a higher secondary co – education school. From 1979 onwards, the school was housed in two premises. The campus of primary Section having classes from Nursery to Std. III is two kilometers away from the main campus which houses the Middle, Secondary and Senior Secondary sections. Spread over an area of 4.1 acres, Gulmohur High School is a three storied building and serves all strata of the society.

The school enables all students of Std. X and XII to appear for the Council Examination - ICSE – ISC – Science, Commerce and Arts. Remedial Classes in English and Mathematics are conducted for children from Std. IV - Std.VII. A fairly large number of children enjoy scholarships. Technology - aided learning is also initiated at a tender age. The school boasts of well- equipped libraries.

Gulmohur High School enables the students to nurture hidden talent by organizing various co-curricular activities like “Youth Parliament”, “Flarz”, Annual Sports, Karate, Music, Band, Tabla and Yoga Classes, Scouts and Guides, Maths, Computer and Eco Club, Quizzes etc.

The High School Campus is being extended by new Physics and Chemistry Laboratories and four new classrooms for classes XI and XII.
